About Us
ALFRANK
Alfrank Designs was founded in 1984 by designer Frank Carroll and architect Alfred Cochrane. The company initially focused on supplying unique, sculptural furniture and accessories to showrooms and designers across the United States. However, as the U.S. economy slowed in the early 1990s, Alfrank shifted its focus to the British and Irish markets, partnering with high-end retailers such as Harrods and Selfridges.
Originally, all products were manufactured at the company’s Dublin-based facility. In 2003, production was relocated to the Far East and Eastern Europe, allowing Alfrank to scale operations and become a major supplier to leading UK furniture groups like DFS and Harveys, as well as to numerous large independent retailers throughout the UK and Ireland.
